Let me start wi...Thought this was a joke at first.

Let me start with a quote 'He that lies down with dogs, shall rise up with fleas.'
Benjamin Franklin
Now, what leader of the pack dreampt this one up?
Talk about treating the symptom rather than the cause.
The majority of stress in HMRC is either caused directly or indirectly by the crap management. Be that by bullying, complete disregard for the Equality Act or just by their physical presence in the case of direct cause, indirect causes include e.g. the blind application and support of the Lean/Pacesetter bull, useless reporting and poor working conditions.
Whilst there is no doubt in my mind that canine and even feline presence and contact can have a significant therapeutic effect on both the human and the animal, I have some issues with the example reported above.
Yesterday a reference was made to dog eat dog in HMRC, somewhat ironically now I suppose, however, it is somewhat akin to a menagerie in there most of the time with sheep, slavering wolves, dinosaurs, twittering budgies, slthering snakes, lemmings, stoats and weasels, a howler monkey (no, that one left), bovines, not forgetting of course pelicans (WTF?}
Well don't forget that the pelican is akin to the taxman in physical ability - they can both stick their bills up their arse!
So stick with the pack, keep peeing against lamposts and howling at the moon and fetching those sticks.
ROFL
p.s. worked out where your new kennels will be, those of you that are not unleashed
to freedom that is. Your masters will tell you tomorrow.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
