You'd be very lucky if you get proper desk space, a comfortable chair, natural daylight, training to do your job and an environment free from bullying. Until you see the place, I wouldn't trust a word they say.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29600742611858461.post-66628726589667005882016-09-16T14:49:10.770+01:002016-09-16T14:49:10.770+01:00A gym?? On the other hand, this new 'super' building won't even have a gym, from what I understand. And in other vaguely connected news, the Civil Service has just appointed a Health and Wellbeing champion. So they tell us it's important to be fit and healthy, and to reduce time off sick, then force us all into one building with much longer commutes (and costs and stress!) and don't provide any facility to exercise. An interesting book is out by Dame Margaret Hodge, she basically writes about hmrc's dishonesty, cover-ups and bullying - on the basis of her very credible and trustworthy account of senior management, can we trust these people to honestly deal with our tax affairs? Dame Margaret also writes of her regret that she could not protect an HMRC employee from HMRC - if it needs an MP to protect staff from management, whatever kind of organisation is HMRC??? Very, very disturbing. Time for the IPCC to take a good look at the place???
