Preparing For RTI

As from 6 April 2013 employers will have to start reporting PAYE information to HMRC in real time, aka Real Time Information - or RTI.

This means that employers (or their accountant, bookkeeper or payroll bureau) will have to:
send details to HMRC every time they pay an employee, at the time they pay them
use payroll software to send this information electronically as part of their routine payroll process

The links below take you to detailed HMRC guidance on getting your business ready to report PAYE in real time.

  1. I have serious concerns over RTI and really do not want to hand over my personal details AGAIN to which our corrupt Government already have. I would imagine that if you refuse then you simply will not get paid. I appreciate some help on this subject as my gut instinct is this is utterly wrong.

  2. I don't think you fully grasp the RTI system my good man. It doesn't have any effect on the employees of a company just the way the employees tax liability is submitted by said company.
