What's being reported in the news is only the information that people can cope with.
Disclosing secret government tax policy is the least of his crimes. It's gross misconduct in public office, if he gets his collar felt I don't think he'll be quiet for very long and will sing like a canary
Who did he report to? Which two ? Who's been piping up in the media? Why? It's all linked. He was pushed in to the public arena again to be brought down. Who has Trump put on this Board for Peace? Optics. He's next.
2026 has barely started and it's going to get worse I'm afraid whether you like it or not.
This mammoth political/governmental will hopefully expose all the corruption within HMRC too. Our great country is better than this, we must clean up institutions, we can do better.
That's fine, but if you work for HMRC, keep it quiet in the office. When I worked in compliance at HMRC, I got bullied by far left PCS reps after saying that I support the tories. Despite high performance and top notch yield raised for the exchequer, my spinster SO grade manager even accused me, without any evidence apart from my political views, of 'not believing in what we do'. But if I'd had pink hair and a copy of the socialist worker on my desk while being totally ineffective at my job, she'd have had no problem. In her mad head, the right 'beliefs' helps fund public services more than hard yield collected by staff with the 'wrong beliefs'.
She struggled to understand that it is conservatives who believe in public service and the rule of law.
These people are mentally disturbed, and that's why HMRC fails so spectacularly every year.
@17:21. The party that made Boris Johnson and Liz Truss PM is sensible? If you say so. @17:55. An impressive early candidate for the This Never Happened of the Year award.
This vile scumbag's favours for his vile paedophile friend risks exposing corruption within HMRC/civil service...order lots of popcorn
ReplyDeletePlease enlighten us all as to how his friendship with a foreign pervert would expose corruption within HMRC.
DeleteI'll give you a clue - it wouldn't.
@13:18 Oh dear, someone doesn't have the first clue as to how government works in the UK.
Delete@13:23.
DeletePlease address the question.
How are HMRC implicated in the Mandelson/Epstein affair?
Anyone who doesn't realise HMRC is corrupt hasn't been paying attention. Even Big Sam Allaydyce got it right years ago. Totally corrupt.
Delete@15:26.
DeleteYes, but what has alleged corruption in HMRC got to do with Peter Mandelson?
I genuinely want to know.
Why wasn't this awful human being on HMRC's radar years ago? I mean, we know HMRC staff aren't the brightest, but come on ffs
ReplyDeleteIt isn't HMRCs job to assess people's character. It's their job to assess and collect tax.
DeleteIt is their job to identify and deal with tax cheats, I'm afraid

DeleteThis country urgently needs an election.
We need a coalition of Conservative, Reform and any other sensible common sense parties.

ReplyDeleteI'm not suggesting that someone lied through their back teeth, maybe someone has been lying through their back teeth.
Thank you for playing. Good Night.

HMRC might have a useful role on this occasion.
