  1. I believe they are also interested in hearing from any current or former HMRC staff about the bullying culture and misconduct. They need a complete picture, it's a department in utter meltdown and in need of reform. The loan charge victims have suffered the worst from this mob.

  2. The problem with that is any credible journalist writing about a bullying culture or misconduct would require inconvenient little things such as names, dates, locations, etc.

  3. Witnesses required. Won't work

  4. Does HMRC still use gagging orders on staff who know all the dirty secrets.

  5. HMRC does not issue "gagging orders" and has no legal powers to do so.
Of course all civil servants are subject to the Official Secrets Act. Not quite the same thing.

    1. Sorry that's simply not correct.

HMRC routinely puts clauses (aka 'gagging orders') in the settlement agreements they offer victims.

That prevents the victims exposing what goes on in the department.
      I agree, it's not ideal.

Rather than compensating victims, this money should more accurately seen as 'buying their silence'.

Many victims sign settlements because the poor souls do not want the prolonged stress of taking to them to court causing further nervous breakdowns.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, I don't give two flying f*cks about the bullies, their enablers and their apologists = they are cowardly scum
