HMRC Staff Survey 2010
By happenstance I now have a copy of the 2010 HMRC staff survey, published February 2010.
Rather strangely the survey is not yet up on the HMRC site.
I don't know why?
I will have a look through it, and publish it tomorrow on this site.
Worthy of note in the survey is that in none of the categories do HMRC's results even match the average for the whole Civil Service.
Tax does have to be taxing.

No point in publishing it, no one in power takes any notice of it.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine it will be under the heading of 'Waste' under any new government and like many features of the public sector that are just tick in the box exercises.
Mind you, once our new MP is in place they will be getting a visit from me regarding it as I am fed up with the problems that my partner working for HMRC causes my family.
It's a sad state of affairs when you realise front line troops being shelled, shot at, ambushed etc. have more job satisfaction than those working at HMRC.
ReplyDeleteAlso spare a thought for the Dept that HMRC actually beat! Just what do those poor sods have to put up with?
Everybody in HMRC should know what to do in October. Let's make that 96th and last place our own. You know it makes sense.
Expect very little in the way of any real action, as usual, as the headless chicken circus continues. Bob's your uncle if you know what 'The Deal' is suppose to be about as well.

ReplyDeleteMaybe the guys on the front line have access to bigger weapons than their managers.
Yes, I was pretty miffed that we didn't come last. The thought that there could be another department even worse than the revenue fills me with wonder. Nevermind I am sure Leslie Strathie who appears to hate her staff will think of a way to ensure we hit that spot in October.
