  1. Perhaps Jim Harra is not pleased because the people this has impacted can phone him up personally and ask questions.

There are quite a few offices that are no longer around North and South of the border, with good people that used to work in them (for peanuts). Whilst he and his cronies sit plush in 100PS. Not withstanding, some lesser cronies (scrubbers) that liked organising tarts in hotels, sending dirty pictures on internal computers amongst other despicable crimes.

  3. HMRC will be running around to sort their latest demonstration of incompetence - if it were the mere peasant taxpayers though they wouldn't give two hoots.

I am afraid to say that the upper echelons of HMRC is full of self-serving bigoted individuals who will only respond to errors involving people of power; most of them are lazy, too many are bullies and a scary number of them fancy themselves as politicians - heaven help us if that were to become true.

Since an above comments makes reference to scandals that surfaced after the Nellthorpe sacking for sexual misconduct, does anyone know what has happened to Paul Garlick's twitter, what is happening as regards the police investigating the allegations of sexual misconduct by senior management and whether any elected politicians are calling for an investigation into the culture of HMRC?

    1. Paul Garlick has had his 15 minutes of fame. It would be no surprise if he has ridden off into the sunset.
