Staff Morale - Another Survey Result

Staff Survey

I understand that the results of this year's civil service staff survey are due to be released this week, and that HMRC's scores are worse than last year's.

Please could someone forward me the survey, or a link to it, as and when it is released?

Thanks.

  2. I don't know why you think that - the last one wasn't.

  3. Never mind, I'm sure Wikileaks will publish all the gory details.

  4. I doubt it will make any difference anyway.

There are still team leaders in call centres refusing to let people leave early when it looks like they face at least a three hour journey home. But then when said team leader needs to leave early because their kid needs picking up they are the first out the door.

This is not the first incident of this wanker ignoring other people’s situations and how many staff surveys have highlighted this sort of attitude?

Fair comment, did not stop people getting a copy though.

  6. If this survey shows a worsening situation then Hartnet, Strathie and many others need to resign or be sacked.
This has went on far too long.

HMRC Management wouldnt be long in hitting you a severe slap or a boot in the balls if you screwed up someway at your performance and they would love to have you out on the street very quickly.

But Turkeys dont vote for Christmas eh.

  7. Staff engagement score for HMRC - 34% - down 2%. Released later this week...

Do you think HMRC is managed well? Also down. Badly.

Can't wait to see where HMRC compares to everybody else in the Civil Service.

@ 18.45 Hartnett & Strathie won't be going anywhere. Unfortunately.

It's not just call centres. Some of us had to rearrange our Christmas/New Year leave to provide cover at the insistence of our manager...

...who then refused to change her arrangements to provide cover for her colleagues, saying that she'd booked her Christmas leave back in August with her manager and she wasn't going to change it. In other words, "screw you".

All are equal, but some are more equal than others.

You should have said no, things could not be made worse for you.

  11. Bathgate CC must be the exception. Staff are so happy there they even stay overnight instead of going home. Oh no, they could not get home because management decided not to close when 100 yards from them the M8 was closed with people being trapped in their vehicles for hours.

Did the managment get stuck as well? if so then there is always a silver lining.

2%? Is that all, was hopin it would have been a bigger drop.

The drop could be higher. Lets face it, HMRC and numbers have not been the best of friends recently.

  15. They won't care if it was 2 or 20% down. As long as the white board says the post is being cleared, they couldn't give 2 hoots.

And does yours ever say that?? It must be one of the only ones that does. I notice the turn-around tool is no longer being updated either as the timescales for post etc are so embarrassing.
