Now here's an interesting report from PayrollWorld.
Seemingly of those involved in HMRC's RTI pilot, 111 of 446 (25%) employers surveyed by HMRC found that reporting end of year returns now took more time than it did before they did it in real time
More than two thirds (69%) of the employers surveyed said RTI made no difference to payroll costs, but the use of commercial software led to extra up-front costs for 47%.

Please can someone provide me with a link to the actual report on the HMRC site, it must be Monday morning or something I can't seem to find it?“If a cow goes into labour and the payroll is due, the cow comes first. We pay HMRC late. It’s only ever by a day or two and not something we intend. But that is difficult to do now.”
Thanks.
Tax does have to be taxing.
