HMRC's Rickety Computer Systems Crash Again!

My thanks to a loyal reader who posted that HMRC had yet another systems crash yesterday:
"Systems down again yesterday (14th) from early doors throughout the day. Came on intermittently for a few mins at a time then went on the blink again."
It seems that HMRC have managed to keep this away from the mainstream media for the time being.

Tax does have to be taxing.

Professional Cover Against the Threat of Costly TAX and VAT Investigations

Insurance to protect you against the cost of enquiry or dispute with HMRC is available from several sources including Solar Tax Investigation Insurance.

Ken Frost has negotiated a 10% discount on any polices that may suit your needs.

However, neither Ken Frost nor HMRCISSHITE either endorses or recommends their services.

What is Solar Tax Investigation Insurance?

    1. So HMRC staff were paid to put xmas decorations up (no problem with that per se) but aren't usually allowed to tidy their desks when IT is down???

FFS no wonder I am STILL waiting for a reply to a letter and a telephone call from March 2017!

What on earth goes on in that place? Sounds like something outta horror movie!

  6. Building or future, new ways of working, the cloud! Everything's going digital and everything's got to be stored in-line. So no network and nothing can be done, not even making a phone call. Building a system without a single point of failure would have been a good idea.
