    1. As I recall the minister in charge of IR and C&E at the time was lied to. She was told that the estate was being sold to Mapeley UK not Mapeley Bermuda.
I always said that the finances of the SCS involved in negotiating the deal should be thoroughly investigated but predictably the national media were completely uninterested.
If anyone can find it Private Eye did an excellent pull-out special on the scandal, but as I say nobody else ran with it.

  2. No. No surprises at all. All information on a third party AWS cloud server? Taxpayers full details, bank accounts. I mean what could possibly go wrong? Its party time.

Never fear, the shithole will have 'robust' proceedures in place for data security.

It begs the question, what happens if Amazon decide to turn the thing off?

Not withstanding, there are ample YouTube videos explaining how to hack cloud systems. Wireshark, Aircracker, Metasploit, Kali Linux. You're average Fortnite player could do it. Some shitwitted fast tracker on an apprenticehip isn't going to stop them. Game Over.

HMRC will have a new gobshite at the top, they can always blame the previous occupant for any failures.

Another disaster waiting to happen. If you're getting payoffs, pensions, knighthoods and someone else can carry the can. Then who gives a shit right?

  3. The Mapeleys deal signed off by Varney that involved a tax organisation signing leases with a company that would avoid capital gains tax in return for lower rents which actually exceeded budgets ! I saw numerous deals when i was in HMRC involving write offs , £500 k given back as a "goodwill gesture " with no legal basis , threatened by a large US company that if i did not back off challenging their tax avoidance the CEO was a friend of the Prime minister etc , eventually told HMRC to shove it and left .The Amazon deal is merely only the tip of a very large iceberg involving favours for jobs , see Varney going to Deloittes have dealt with them writing off over 2 billion in tax and interest on Vodafone !

    1. More back handers than Wimbledon.

I remember Varney. He didn't last long, arrived after Montegue. Some bullshit reason was spouted for the departure. Brought that piece of work Lamey with him. Varney walked, Lamey stayed. The revolving door went to the Student Loan Company with him at the helm.

It's just rent a clown at the top. Let the peasants eat cake.

  4. Boris will change it all, he will put Gauke in charge of cleaning out all the CP bullcrap and Phil Hammond in charge of all contract drafts and signing to ensure value for money, Lin Homer will be brought back on a retainer to ensure best practice and accountibility standards and that chappie that had to apologise to Parliament and enjoyed swigging the claret, forget his name but he will be back to ensure compliance with all legal issues inc. H&S and legislation relating to mobile phone contracts as well as the law generally.
Just to ensure a gold standard is not only achieved but maintained wrt 'customer service/satisfaction' then Chris Grayling could be brought in to protect the vehicle fleet and car hire contracts as well as ensuring value for money on rail and air travel.
Staff welfare and morale will be the sole responsibility of Teresa May who will bring a plethora of???? and ????from her time at the Home Office and as P.M.

    Well done Boris!
