HMRC staff will be implementing an overtime ban this week, in response to job cuts.The Public and Commercial Services union claim that HMRC is having to rely on routine overtime, as well as temporary staff, after cutting almost 19,000 jobs over the past three years.
Tax does have to be taxing.

ReplyDeletea union is only as strong as its members i'd try to find out if i were you. knowing what treats our employer has on the cards an overtime ban is the least of our worries.
it goes without saying we need to be blamed for the economic crisis ,get sacked, paid nothing and apologise for the downfall of the capitalist system after all if a private company goes bust its not because they sell a product no one wants its because of the civil service.
The PCS is a joke when I was in "the revenue" all I got for the subs I paid in was a fucking diary every year.
