New URL

URL
A number of you, including journalists, have told me that the URL of this site, www.hmrcisshite.com, sometimes causes problems when posting on chat boards and publishing in articles.

It would appear that the censors (both IT and human) don't like the word "shite".

Therefore to save their blushes I have added another URL, that can be used to access this site:

www.hmrconline.com

I would also remind you that the original, and most descriptive, URL www.hmrcisshite.com still works.

Tax does have to be taxing.

HMRC Is Shite (www.hmrcisshite.com) is brought to you by www.kenfrost.com "The Living Brand"

  1. Whilst the new address is more text filter-friendly, it will still be blocked by most company proxies because of the 301 redirect back to the old address.

I like the new domain name, but I'll give it a month before the HMRC are taking action to have it removed... as it could be misinterpreted as the real & valid HMRC address.

Keep up the great work, Ken.

  2. LOL!:)

I don't think many would confuse this site as being an official organ of HMRC:)

  3. Don't be so sure!

Both sites show the HMRC as incompetent and totally out of their depth...

All you need is a semi-functional SAO system and I'd struggle to tell the difference ;)

  4. It's hardly confusing. Ken's site is clear and concise, whereas HMRC's... enough said I think.

I had problems accessing your site via T-Mobile this morning, due to "Adult Content" despite the new URL.

Still, it's a memorable URL and I woudn't change it for that reason.
