ReplyDeleteI shouldnt really have to state the bleeding obvious, but since HMRC have in their wisdom sacked nearly all the typists, it is now upto the individual officers to type all their own mail. As they have not been given any training, you can imagine that it is easy for such howlers to get through - the case in point is clearly a standard template which the officer has accidentally altered, and has not had the time to proof read before sending out. Inefficient as HMRC is, this could happen to anyone.
