so I wouldn't get tooo excited just yet Ken!
LOL
DeleteIt may have been mentioned in other comments, but has anyone else noticed that the clock settings on this blog, are like HMRC, all to cock? The time is close on17.30pm GMT yet post appears as 09.30AM!
ReplyDeleteMe thinks Ken needs to reset his settings... or ask HMRC to do it?
You're right, the date and time sitemap for comments is fucked up.
DeleteI have checked the settings, and they say GMT; yet it seems to be running 8 hours behind.
For the record, I have posted this at 10:06AM 24th.
I will prod my service provider to try to sort it out.
I'm impressed, unlike HMRC you read the 'customer' comments and take action.
DeleteImpressed Ken.
Nice one.
Thanks, let's see tho if I can actually fix the farking problem tho!:) (posted 11:19 am)
DeleteIt was 'fixed' by altering the timestamps on all the posts before this problem happened by the number of hours Kens site has gained.
DeleteSo any post published in the last 6 years of HMRCisShite that references a previous post will now be wrong.
If HMRC conducted itself in such a way. Ken and his diligent army of followers would be blaming all of HMRC for their incapability and calling for heads to roll.
Blogger is run by Google, whose own tax receipts probably dwarf the entire tax take of the United Kingdom, but they cannot get setting the time right?
Welcome to corporate private industry, where nothing matters because they tell you it doesn't.
The date stamps on the articles on the site are correct.
DeleteThe time stamps on the comments made are running at EST (as far as I can see). I have flagged it with Blogger.
Feel free to inundate Blogger with your complaints over this. I agree it should be fixed, and they should be given a kick.
Why should I? You as the blog owner are ultimately responsible. After all it has your name on it. So goes the mantra of several commenters on this site.
DeleteOr is it only the private sector that can defer blame to another company when they cock up?
I don't have access to the server nor the coding. I can only (as I and others have already done) post a "bug report" to Google.
DeleteYou are of course (if this issue is so troublesome to you) free to go elsewhere, unlike the "customers" of HMRC:)
