  1. Reminds me of that golden oldie;

What is the connection between a taxman and a pelican?

They can both stick their bills up their @rse!

  2. Is the HMRC documentary still going ahead next year and is it still going to be unfiltered?

  3. Nah its been replaced by a tragi-comedy instead as there are so many clowns and hopeless managers in there anything else would have been a misrepresentation of the truth, truth being in short supply in there anyway.
Besides which, the years supply of equity cards has already been used up!

  4. Tiger Aspect we're commissioned to make the program, and it seems they will have FULL editorial control. HMRC will be able to advise on the program before broadcast, but Tiger Aspect are underived no obligation to change an thing. I am sure their lawyers will make sure what goes out is legally correct.

Tiger Aspect we're the production company that made the TV series Mr Bean.

    1. I'll bet my pension that Tiger executives are 'got to' and the truth is NOT aired. Then Tiger will lose credibility and go belly up and HMRC will live to cheat, bully, lie, and steal again! Watch this space.

  5. it will be sanitised so that it will look like it is all tickety boo and hunky dory in the land of HMRC. Any dissent from the minions to be quashed immediately under Homers jack boot.

  6. I hope Tiger aspect have got the common sense to take a good look at this site, sort out the salient points, ask some DEEP probing questions, AND insist on answers. I suggest YOU ALL contact Tiger aspect and point them in the right direction.

  7. Yeah, don't wait for tiger to get started, it'll be too late by then, the more ammunition we give them up front the better job they 'should do' in showing the TRUE HMRC.

  9. I posted to them yesterday with constructive suggestions as to where the truth might be found including Eye, here, PAC & NAO plus HMIC reports etc.. Kept it basic but factual. Included reference to MP's, Dundee ET and the PAS.
    We will see what transpires.
Hopefully more will add their voice giving credence to the stalwarts contentions, all it takes is for people to go one step further than just moaning on here.

    1. TOTALLY AGREE time to back up the belly aching with just a simple E mail or letter with BASIC FACTS that are easily confirmed when looking in the right places, We'll see if our comrades are made of the stuff required to really push this forward.

    2. I've sent quite damning documents via post regarding shall we call them 'stock losses' at supposedly 'secure' warehouses and the lengths that have been taken to cover up these losses. I'll be interested to see if they cover the subject and what OUR MANAGEMENT has to say about it.

      Delete
    3. Nothing new about stock losses from warehouses, it go started when HMC&E changed over to open warehouses and trader provided records, even relying on trader written off export paperwork.
Cue all Revenue Constables, Watchers and Revenue Assistants who provided a semblance of Revenue protection and security getting the boot and replaced by risk based controls and spreadsheets and belief in the honesty of homo sapiens,
After that we had London City Bond, Carousel Fraud, increase in fictitious exports (empty container scenarios) and much more.
Basically, vast amounts of Customs, Excise Duty, VAT etc were repaid on the basis of third party records.
Add to that the fact that 'security' was provided by more third parties, sometimes from associated companies of the export carriers and you begin to get the picture.
Audits and raids took place but the sheer volume of hidden serious and organised crime intervention in the vast amounts of tax involved meant that such controls as imposed and enforced did little but scratch the surface.
Now I believe, experienced criminal investigators are chasing on er shop distributors for the benefit of TV instead of undertaking 'proper' investigation of real criminals, it's the low hanging fruit of quick numbers.
In Customs it was referred to as petty seizure mentality!
Answer? Let the big boys in NCA chase the big boys in top tax crime, it's so well organised that what's left of HMRC can't catch 'me for lack of interest, will and resource.
It really is a joke in there as can be seen by comments from serving staff including investigators.
      Protecting the Revenue, my @rse!
It's thought of as a soft touch from within and without.
      Grrr!

    4. HMRC can't catch 'em

    5. Its stock losses from HMRC secure warehouses Tiger want to be looking at. let them go into the Dover pubs and see the cheap cigarettes that are to be had. check out the corners shops selling ex HMRC seized stock! Carry out income v expense audits on some of our own 'pillars of the community'

    6. Dover pubs and corner shops sell smuggled goods and have done so for decades. It's something to do with the ease of abusing repetitive travel?
How many times can you cross the channel as a 'footie' in 24 hrs ffs!?
'Hire' some 'mules' @ £50/day tax free and see how much you can make
      sticking to maybe hand rolling.

Then there are the ferry crews, white van man, you only have to watch the
bloody car parks at the front of the terminal or the mini-buses trolling up to
the car parks that overlook the port.

It's no good alleging theft of goods out of warehouse without any proof. Seized goods in warehouses look no different to goods that are smuggled but not seized. It's only the outer cases that are marked, if at all. Counterfeit goods will look the same as the real thing to most people.
White cigarettes are just that, no marks?

Tiger Aspect are not going to roar at speculation and certainly won't chase shadows.

      Where's the proof?

However I do accept that organised crime can steal it's own seized goods
back, they have done so previously.

    7. camera footage with HMRC staff CLEARLY IDENTIFIABLE loading said goods into private cars / vans WITH registrations CLEARLY IDENTIFIABLE should be enough, BUT goods also marked with SMART WATER and traced to end users that'll do it, don't you think?
S.D. Cards with everything I have is on its way..... and yes I've kept copies.

      Delete
    8. I will assume that you have done more than keep copies to protect yourself? Remember, these are the tw@ts that used some hefty surveillance on Osita Mba and his wife on a previous justifiable whistle blow.

Smartwater is irrefutable proof due to its unique characteristics, combined with identifiable images and subsequent effective independant law enforcement work this may well be a game changer.

Of course, all sides will now be aware and may be taking protective measures. Keep ones transom covered and your powder dry. But I guess you already

    9. I wouldn't be doing this unless I was bullet proof AND had a FEW aces up my sleeve. IF......no WHEN they start getting shitty it'll be time told 'play those aces', one at a time until THEY fold!! We'll see how high they want the shit to flow before they call it a day and do the honourable thing. Spent the best part of 3 years on this, it'll be worth every minute.

    10. Look forward to shtf. My attempts stalled at PAC, NAO level, with their awareness but no desire to investigate. MP had supported to that point but then baulked at request to refer to IPCC. Possibility of downward pressure having been applied given the estimates of taxpayers money wasted, not in public interest etc?

  11. Unsure as to whether Tiger/Endemol will have much stomach for our wishes unless they begin to see what lies beneath the surface of HMRC.

Was it trolling that caused the sudden belief in an ongoing, now believed to be fictitious broad enquiry into HMRC lawbreaking etc. If so, why, is there something to hide after all that would make everything going else appear small by comparison?

He who pays the piper calls the tune, and probably most importantly what does not get aired!

    1. It would seem that something's about to kick off, Tiger may be bought off but its only a matter of time before the weight of evidence gives serious investigators no option but to spill the beans on the cesspit!!

  12. Bigger picture involved - RTI is not delivering and will wreck the flagship Universal Credit. Anything else just adds to the mess which will have heaven and earth thrown at it to keep the lid in place before the election.

In addition and depending on ones point of view, why would vested interests want to see a tax administration that is effective at controlling the black economy of avoidance. It is just as bad at controlling evasion.

Will take something of substance and effect to shake this edifice, so well shielded it is doubted that a bunker buster would have any effect. But, you never know, you know!
