  1. Lets spin it a different way...truthfully...where HMRC should be improving :Satisfaction rating :
    1. Pay & Benefits 22%
    2. Leadership and Managing Change 39% Thompson you reading ??
    3. Employee Engagement 50 %
    4. Learning & Development 55%
And remember this survey was carried out with indirect coaching on how to fill it in and with the hope that the new entrants who knew nothing else thought this shithole was Utopia.

  2. 101st out of 107 in staff engagement, yes thats bloody success isnt it. 1 in 9 reported being bullied, 61% not investigated. 33% didnt do the survey because we knew what wad going to happen with it. Pay and conditions score little improvement. Its a whitewash, no other word for it. How do these people sleep at night. The department is in crisis, come brexit it will be in meltdown. Rearranging the Deckchairs on the Titanic. As Churchill said "success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm" says it all really.

  3. 1 in 9 of those completing the survey reporting bullying, WTF is going on in there?!

What will it take for TPTB to shine a light into this cesspit of a department.

  4. There will be no experienced staff left soon as senior leaders will not listen to us only dictate the Building our future diatribe which as us elders can see means ...longer commute less homelife , pay cut with tax on travel , no desk of your own , constant erosion of terms and conditions , timed toilet breaks , constant scrutineering making you feel like a 5 year old...etc I have over 25 years in the civil service and some of the wild decisions being made are just pure Armageddon tactics.

    1. I agree totally it is a truly horrible place sometimes I just wish it would end. I do think there is a move to get rid of anyone who gets in their way from whatever stand point or anyone with any 'issues'. Vile I just hope what comes around goes around...

  5. Left 10 years ago. Thought it was shameful then - now sounds worse ! Amazed no one has ever spoken outside, but then, like me, no one dare. Although I won't die first.....
