Parliamentary answers reveal that 192 officials from HMRC were disciplined or dismissed "for alleged breaches of data protection requirements and inappropriate use of personal or sensitive data" in the past year.
None of the dismissals at HMRC were related to last year's Datagate scandal, when the personal data records of 25 million people were lost.
Tax does have to be taxing.
