Survey Time!

Dilbert
I see that Hartnett has failed to be given explicit support from the government, after the weekend's fiasco, and will most likley be called before the Treasury select committee foor a "wee chat".

That aside, am I right in thinking that yesterday (the 13th) was the day on which HMRC started their 2010 staff survey?

Can someone verify that please?

Thanks.

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. If the attitude of Tony Copsey is anything to go by this should be another good read.

  2. Yes, the staff survey began yesterday and will be staggered over the next 4 weeks. I can not wait to fill mine with choice comments (if allowed).

  3. I think this is one of those situations where soneone needs a kick up the ass. How much does this sort of thing cost? and is it really worth that cost when nothing actually changes.

  4. They have balls to issue another survey.

Do you think hmrc is a good place to work.
Do you have faith in your management.
    etc

    They cant be serious.

They should work sorting the crap its in, de-merge it back to Customs and Excise/Inland Revenue and work to simplify tax for everyone concerned.

    Bunch of Muppets.

  5. I wonder if they'll publish the results on their external website this time? I seem to recall the last one had to be leaked into the public domain.

  6. The survey opened yesterday but, and you couldn't make this up, the technology didn't work so it had to be fixed overnight...

The survey is actually owned by the whole Civil Service not just HMRC so we have to take part. I bet ExCom appreciate the timing as much as we do. I can't wait to fill out my survey.

To @ 13.09 - the survey is open to all HMRC staff. If you aren't allowed to take part, complain to the rafters and highlight your concerns to the Employee Engagement team. They are close to Mike Falvey, the CPO who actually seems a decent bloke with his head screwed on, who will take your case up.

On the great orator that is Dave Hairball, the intranet newsroom is still publicising Great Dave's appearance on Radio 4. Just to show that there is no such thing as bad publicity...

Im in tears at that. They will probably lose the results when they get them or they'll insert "Work and Pensions" as the header instead of HMRC Survey :)

  8. Dud anyone notice the added nugget about the survey on the intranet? Although this is a Civil Service wide Survey, HMRC has started theirs early because it is being dealt with "in house"!

I am not cynical by nature, but it strikes me as a little odd as to why it is only the HMRC is raking the "in house" route to the People Survey. I would be grateful if any staffers can shed light on this?

Probably because the management need to change the figures before it is published.
