  1. Watch out for cameo appearances from

Scooter, Gonzo, Sam the Eagle, and Fozzie Bear.

  2. If Watchdog's previous "investigations" are anything to go by, the most any HMRC interviewee will have to fear is a 30 second "grilling" by somebody who knows absolutely nothing about the subject and is happy to accept HMRC's "fulsome and sincere" apologies for the 3 egregious examples of HMRC's lack of customer care revealed on the programme. Then the issue will go quiet for a few years.

    Don't count on it.

  4. Mmm. who was it who said that being told off by Geoffrey Howe would be akin to being savaged by a dead sheep.
Howver it would be a scoop to see Ms Robinson send off Straithie 7 Co as "you are the weakest link, good bye!"
It will be interesting to see if anyone has begun to make the links yet.
103rd may yet be called to account.

  5. If you owe tax that is due and payable, you should pay it. It is the law and NOT an option. What part of "due and payable" is it that you don't understand?

  6. Hello twat and welcome back, been a while since you showed out.
Forgotten all about the little people and those that have been having demands for money they have either paid or don't owe?
Menacing demands for paltry amounts that may have an extant time to pay agreement. And to cap it all the big payers get away with blue murder.
Away and boil yer head ye stupid sassenach, fuck off before someone believes ye, ye spawn of satan.
    And...relax!

  7. Blah, blah, blah... whatever. You haven't actually answered the question (probably because you haven't read it properly), what part of "due and payable" is it that you don't understand?

  8. If its due and legal and on equal terms I would agree totally with your perspective.
However you convieniently ignore what is happening out there.
There is an uneven, immoral and totally disgraceful tax system in operation.
treat the avoiders the same way as you treat the little people and your feet wouldn't touch the floor and as for bringing the evaders to book, well! That particular endangered species is on the Cities list!
Sorry Bart you scored D- again, you will have to stay in remedial for another year, go and play in the Pacesetter corner there's a good person, and here use this hankie to wipe that brown stuff off your nose.

  9. "tax that is due and payable"

The same rule applies to HMRC who break this rule themselves. Love to bully and take money, never ever like to pay out when its due.

HMRC is a one-way street and I'm paying you pirates a penny. Due or not. Fight me!

Gosh, one penny is over generous!

I filled in a questionaire with the repayment offer of £0.

D'you reckon I was being a bit harsh?

Twat.I hope they do. Then you can whinge on here about bullying. Oooh they were nasty to me. Oooh they wrote me a nasty letter.

I had my way, they'd be allowed to break your legs.

  12. Yes... because HMRC never gets it wrong or refuses to actually calculate it again properly.

@anon 21.46/21.27. If it is owed then you shouldn't be bankrupted or harassed by debt collectors for it but have it dealt with properly making proper arrangements to pay it. They don't wait to deal with it properly before threatening to send the baliffs in.

It isn't as simple as everyone they are chasing are tax dodgers!

(Oh and Watchdog tend to be more about unhelpful rants at the companies than real useful and even handed investigation these days. I'll wait to see the hack job they do and see if its better than normal.)

  13. 18:27 ref: breaking yer legs!"

I will be under the clock at Paddington station at 10:00 on Saturday and can be recognised by the copy of the Financial Times under my left arm and the pink carnation in my button hole!
You dogbreath scumbag you should prostrate yourself prior to committing Hari Kari with a Pacesetter whiteboard inserted rectally.
Must be at least a useless fastracker with a first class honours in cowardice!
Crawl back to your masters, serf!

  14. So they reckon the problems are due to cuts in spending and staffing. Bollocks, if they doubled the staff the same problems would happen. The staffing cuts may make the problems harder to sort out but seeing as most of the systems are automated it must be down to design.
