Say It With Flowers

My thanks to a loyal reader who advises me that HMRC sends floral apologies, sometimes, when it makes mistakes.

The Mail reports that between January 2009 and July 2014, HMRC has sent 106 bouquets by way of an apology.

Has any loyal reader ever received such a bouquet?

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. Belladonna, digitalis and deadly nightshade with a sprig of hemlock and a swish of pansies, the last were from Excom of course.

Flowers, have they risk assessed the recipients for allergies to e.g. lilies or merely flower pollen. What about the thorns on Rose stems.

What the feck will this lot get up to next?

  4. I wonder if they'll send a bunch of flowers to the person who reported to a police station with his solicitor, as instructed by HMRC only to find that HMRC couldn't be bothered to attend themselves!!!! That's going to cost them. Bloody lack of courtesy, lack of professionalism, and total disregard of the law.
