Introducing Graham Brammer

My thanks to the loyal reader who has fleshed out some details on HMRC's newly appointed Director of Debt Management & Banking, who happens to be ex Barclays.

He is Graham Brammer.

As my loyal reader notes:

"Would that be the same Graham Brammer that was appointed non-executive director of the Customs & Excise and Inland Revenue Estates and Contract Management Board (Property Week 23 January 2004)?

Also, the same Graham Brammer who is a proponent of the Performance Dashboard, a tool that produces an at a glance indication of service levels on asset management contracts?

Double revolving door anyone?

There we are then!
"

In addition to the above, Brammer (who was in Barclays for over 20 years) was appointed director of Barlcays group property services in 2002, with responsibilities for the Barclays estate and all property services, including facilities management.

Brammer left Barclays in 2008 and became executive Director of The Pensions Regulator. He left in July this year.

I assume that the HMRC intranet has given a summary of the above, by way of introducing him to HMRC staff?

  2. Ken you are correct, not a peep of his resume on the HMRC intranet of his former HMRC role in 2004. By making such an omission if you were a cynic (like me) you would think they had something to hide. Open and transparent.....yeah and i'm Mother Theresa!!!!

  3. Yes there is along with a smiling photograph of himself, which is a bit scary, he drones out the usual crap like how wonderful debt management will be and what an opportunity this is for him. Pity about everyone else.
