Lin Homer's £20K Bonus

My thanks to a loyal reader who has posted that Lin Homer has been awarded a £20K bonus:
"Just to rub salt in to the wounds, Homer got a bonus over £20,000 for 14/15.

That's on top of her £185,000 salary.

She got an exceeded marking for her PMR lol"
Well deserved no doubt!

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. Don't know how true this is...could be last year's bonus we are talking about....but i wouldn't be surprised if it was true....they don't give a fuck....this is a drop in the ocean to the amount of staff they have slung onto the scrap heap.

Shame on this shower of shite !!

  2. Last year's bonus was shameful. If there is another one it will be a total disgrace. Isn't there any honest oversight of HMRC's senior managers bonuses? It takes four months to reply to a taxpayer's letter. People wait 45 minutes to speak to someone over the phone. How can a bonus be justified?

  3. In the Telegraph in November 2014 in the comment section Ken you claimed this was "old news":
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/tax/11212006/Tax-collectors-fury-at-HMRC-chiefs-20000-bonus.html

so isn't this very old news now ;)

    1. I am now confused as to whether this is in fact last year's bonus, or a new one. If last year's then I have indeed posted old news!
