Treasury Maintains Purdah - For Once!

In a rare display of integrity, HMT has actually managed to maintain purdah ahead of Sunak's Spring Statement at lunchtime today.

Normally it leaks like a sieve.

Why the change?

I would suggest the lack of leaks means that Sunak is serving very thin gruel indeed for lunch!

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. He's great at spending our money with 200 million in the bank. Don't worry, were all in this together. Smile for the cameras and read from prepared PR Statements.

Welfare for the rich with Eat Out To Help (them) Out and cutting VAT. Ordinary people on the breadline have to suffer even more.

Money snotted on furlough fraud with little chance of HMRC getting it back

Scumbags and Traitors for the most part, with few exceptions.
