Homer's Successor - Postwoman Paula

AccountancyAge speculates that Paula Vennells, current chief executive at the Post Office, may be Homer's successor as CEO of HMRC.

Vennells has been at the Post Office since 2007, and was appointed as CEO in 2012. She was, apparently, instrumental in its digital transformation.

Vennells also has experience working within the private sector. In November, she was appointed to the board of Morrisons for her renowned restructuring skills.

Maybe she is the frontrunner. However, shouldn't the job be publicly advertised first?

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. First class aspirations, second class delivery, crap computer systems, useless management, offices closing all over the place, and a service precariously held together by gaffer tape, chewing gum and EU/non-EU temps, sure makes for an easy transition?

Is there a factory somewhere churning out these bloody awful Chief Exec clones?
