That's because they spend all day bullying each other.
ReplyDeleteEvidence and specifics?
ReplyDeleteBasically, taxpayers waste £2.4 billion per year waiting for HMRC to pick up the telephone and/or going round in circles with HMRC inefficiency BUT:
ReplyDeleteHow much money do HMRC directly spend bullying staff and dealing with the consequences AND:
what is the indirect financial consequence to society with the subsequent GP appointments, hospital appointments, social security payments, lost tax revenue, legal fees and in the more extreme cases insolvencies/bankruptcies, home repossessions, homelessness etc?
HMRC staff bullying and law-breaking has consequences and the little people in management/HR who have thus far evaded justice, should be held criminally accountable for their cowardly misconduct.
But don't expect the corrupt PCS to take the lead on it...
As long as they end up with 13 offices they couldn't care less whether the service is rubbish. All the good experienced staff are melting away .
