Strike

Strike
It seems that HMRC's IT operations may be disrupted by a possible strike of 750 Fujitsu employees.

HMRC outsource various IT operations to Fujitsu (eg IT support to HMRC's systems and processing tax credit forms) The Fujitsu employees have been balloted for a strike over "insufficient" pay rises.

In the event strike action does occur, it is scheduled for between September/October.

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. When IT was outsourced to Fujitsu, large numbers of HMRC IT staff were transferred to that company. They immediately received massive pay rises for carrying on doing exactly the same work they were doing before, with the expense being billed to HMRC! Now civil servants are on a pay freeze and these numpties want more money?

  2. FudgeITsu Bosses got nice fat bonuses for meeting or exceeding targets. WTF, by that did they screw more money out of HMRC or more likely targets were set low enough so that they couldnt possibly fail to meet them.
