Hanging On The Telephone



Commiserations to Stuart Jones who has been hanging on the telephone waiting fro HMRC to answer for at least 32 minutes this morning:
"I have now been waiting 32 minutes on an 0845 number for @HMRCgovuk to answer. More money to Cable & Wireless & HMRC."

Tax does have to be taxing.

      Her indoors what spoke to one of them recently got through easily with minimal waiting but spoke with what she described as a surly scot, but there you go!

  2. I phoned up a number of times and gave up after waiting 20-30 minutes. When I got through eventually after being on the line for 40 minutes I spokes the most unhelpful of chaps. Not his fault though, being asked to handle the issues that ordinary people hit when they try and handle bureaucrateese with deadlines looming with extremely draconian punishments and who are at the end of the tether after they've tried umpteen times to get through.
