Meet Lee Hawksworth - The New Head of Software Developer Collaboration

Lee Hawksworth has been appointed as HMRC's Head of Software Developer Collaboration.

He's not entirely sure what the role means, but is willing to give it a go!

As per his blog:
"It sounds great, but what does it really mean?

Well, I might be better placed to answer that in a few weeks!"
Let's see how this pans out then!

Tax does have to be taxing.

Professional Cover Against the Threat of Costly TAX and VAT Investigations

Insurance to protect you against the cost of enquiry or dispute with HMRC is available from several sources including Solar Tax Investigation Insurance.

Ken Frost has negotiated a 10% discount on any polices that may suit your needs.

However, neither Ken Frost nor HMRCISSHITE either endorses or recommends their services.

What is Solar Tax Investigation Insurance?

Solar Tax Investigation Insurance is a tax-fee protection service that will pay up to £75,000 towards your accountant's fees in the event of an HM Revenue & Customs full enquiry or dispute.

  1. Someone has to write the software to digitalise HMRC. Good luck with that! Meanwhile all the old "analogue" tax inspectors get made redundant.

  2. Looks like he's just dealing with the interface between business systems and HMRC systems. No need to bother with anything else, because the systems themselves will always work perfectly . . .

  3. I think he sounds like a thoroughly nice chap. A thoroughly nice chap with great hair, hair you'd want to collaborate with.
