  1. Politicians will need someone to blame if and when RTI blows up and Homer is shaping up nicely. Sadly, although she is useless , the rot had set in at HMRC long before she arrived. The culture of failure extends way beyond one person. It is built into the very management structure of the organisation. If you want someone to blame look at Mckinsey who came up with the current set up

  2. Well Ken, I scooped you by a matter of minutes, but hey, as a long term loyal reader, we are all in this journey together...
I said on this forum not so long ago that M.P.'s were beginning to join the dots and now I know that this is the case.
Vaz, Hodge & Co. are scenting blood and with a bit of luck those that have been too timid to come forward will be given the protection they deserve in order to blow their whistles.
For too long this horrid organisation has lurched from scandal to scandal, Homer should not have to carry the can alone and those that have done their own thing for so many years should now be brought to book.
Time for the sheeple to stand up and be counted, my counters are already cast and principles are worth far more than pounds, I can assure you.
Get in touch with your M.P. now don't waste your time with the PCS

  3. I don't think many people have worked out that clicking on the Homer link at the start of Ken's blog takes you into the Daily mail site that has a lot of comments on it!

  5. "Catastrophic leadership failure"

"Little confidence in her ability to lead HMRC,,,"

In addition, HMG have finally woken up to the looming disaster that is RTI and the link to Universal Credit. Even mainstream media are beginning to discuss openly about what will be yet another government IT failure.

Start packing Homer, you are on your way, and not before time. Your real CV will read like a damning indicment of incompetance combined with a legacy of expensive high profile failures.

This action should pave a way for a clear out of the dead wood that infests HMRC at all levels, trouble is some have already taken "packages" seeing this pile of crap flying over the horizon.

  6. Wait until they wake up to the link between illegal immigrants and wholesale theft of monies from HMRC systems (VAT, Income Tax, Customs Duties, Excise Duties, Corporation Tax etc.) involving Organised Crime.

Yes, it looks as though the lid is finally about to blow, not before time.
