The Electric Commode

The Electric Commode
You will recall that I recently wrote about HMRC "management" imposing a rule whereby HMRC staff have to complete a spreadsheet every time that they go for a loo break, and advising staff not to drink so much.

One reader even commented that he/she had been threatened with a written warning over loo breaks.

Clearly there are issues within HMRC wrt toilets and lavatorial issues (anally retentive issues I would surmise), Freud doubtless would have had a field day.

Anyhoo, in the interests of improving morale and efficiency, I have designed a most excellent chair for staff to use when they are at their desks which would negate the need for them to go to the loo.

Ladies and gentlemen may I present "The Electric Commode".

I think you will agree it's a real winner, and the efficiency improvements will more than outweigh the capital costs.

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. What an excellent idea, Ken. I think, however, that the senior managers' version will require a much higher-capacity commode unit as their outputs in the bullshit department are far greater.

  3. I see that the model pictured comes with a good plateful of chicken tikka masalla (presumably to facilitate efficient user-testing).

  4. must disagree with chair can you imagine getting a plumber in to repair it!
how about toilet flexi time,an agreed amount of 10mins per day, booking in at the moment you leave your seat, and uponyour posterior resuming its position booking in,could even be done with elec sensors
add credits could be issued for qing or replacing toilet rolls, malfuctions(both yours and the toilet)could bring in a new era of brown fluffy jobs and would be the best management tool since the cat of nine tails SORREEE this is coming in next year
