Recession Bites

Recession BitesClearly we are heading for a deep recession, whereby incomes will be slashed and by definition tax take reduced, as HMRC are (according to the Public and Commercial Services union) shedding 3,400 jobs over the next two years.

However, The Telegraph notes that HMRC have accused the PCS of "scare-mongering".

Tax does have to be taxing.

  1. HMRC also state that the tax gap is 7 billion compared to all other comentators reporting 40 + billion so getting rid of staff in rural locations is nothing more than a purile attempt to placate MPs need to sack public secttor workers as they are obviously the cause of all things bad in the world. I say lets employ more consultants as its obvious the 100'S of million spent has proved they are worth it
