ReplyDeleteOh sorry, I forgot, that would require competent, practical politicians who actually have a grasp of, and interest in actual day to day governance as opposed to the grandstanding, self-publicists and egotists currently in charge.
Still, not to worry, they can just say it's all HMRC's fault and enough idiots will buy it.
Project Fear a reality.
ReplyDeleteThey'll recruit a few hundred shit witted muppets, that would struggle to tell the time. Give them a weeks online training and stick them at Dover with a high vis jacket.
ReplyDeleteSomebody tell me I'm wrong
Your right.
ReplyDeleteBut the figures will be massaged to make it look like a huge success, despite real revenue crashing and God knows what being allowed to flood into the country.
Predictable and depressing.
There just aren't any real politicians anymore,as in people prepared to roll their sleeves up and get down to the hard grind of formulating and implementing effective policy for the good of the nation. All they and their spads are interested in are winning elections, polling figures and photo opportunities. The actual business of governing the nation is a tedious distraction.
