Does HMRC have staff with requisite skills and experience to even deal with the complexities of tax avoidance?
ReplyDeleteOf course they do. A 22 year old AO who has been grade-skipped to HO for showing the right behaviours in a team meeting should have no problem going toe-to-toe with a barrister specialising in international tax law.
