HMRC Has Gone Mad - The Iceland Legal Action

HMRC has gone mad.

The savings scheme is just that, a voluntary assignment of a proportion of wages that will be reimbursed. Therefore it is not a reduction in wages!

The shoe suggestion is simply a suggestion.

HMRC has gone mad!!

Tax does have to be taxing.

Professional Cover Against the Threat of Costly TAX and VAT Investigations

  1. A company goes out of its way to help their employees save for an expensive time of year, and then is hit by a tax bill. Great-HMRC showing not only do they not care for their own staff, but showing they don't care for those that do
Double standards with the shoes too-not it's not Worked at then surely it is not needed and cannot be claimed for as a business expense.

Does HMRC's right hand not know what it's left is doing?

  3. If HMRC continues to pursue this minor matter better for Iceland to threaten to through in the towel, close its operations after moving funds offshore then leaving a large number to claim Universal Credit.
