Making Tax Digital programme director Theresa Middleton has warned members of the House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee that some software vendors will not be ready to take part in the Making Tax Digital pilot scheme set to commence in April 2017.
It seems that the communication between HMRC and the private sector isn't all it should be!
Tax does have to be taxing.

The obvious response is "What are all those 'communicators' doing, talking to themselves"?
ReplyDeleteThey're probably busy brainwashing the internal audience (staff) and peddling spin i.e. FAKE NEWS to MSM.
ReplyDeleteThey must be important because they collect huge salaries!
Yeah Middleton also arrogantly said "we're a tax authority, not a software provider".
ReplyDeleteIts okay for HMRC gold-plated staff on their huge salaries, but not so good for start-up small businesses left to pick up the pieces from them passing the buck!
I read those people at HMRC bully their own employees, I suspect they'll be bullying us small business people when all this goes wrong next! Isn't just bloomin' wonderful, eh?
Does anyone know if its true HMRC staff get massive Annual Bonuses??? Btw
DeleteYep.....i got promoted...the massive bonus to my "just above minimum wage" was that they cut my annual leave by one and a half days and reduced my sick leave entitlement.....loadsa money...i am fucking rolling in it !!!
DeleteIts the high ups at HMRC who get the huge wages and bonuses! Nobody else! Most of the rest get pay freezes, NO bonuses ever and appalling working conditions. For those wishing to retain their sanity it really is a place to avoid when seeking gainful employment - anyone pondering a future HMRC 'career' you have been warned and will make such a decision at your own risk etc.
